I was supposed to post this earlier, but part of me didn't like the rushed coloring and the background I originally slapped on it, so I tried to touch up the coloring...but because I got distracted by the different language versions of "Let it Go"... it took me too long to decide on another background, and I ended up slapping on the usual sky one

Anyway...it's been a while since I decided I wanted to draw Kaname with an early version of her team - and only her Azumarill is fully evolved

Not surprising, because Kaname was born in Isshu and met Aoi as an Azurill at Flocesy Ranch (sp?). Her mother and father are both Pokemon breeders, and at one point they moved to Kalos, specifically to Camphrier Town, which suited Kaname just fine - she likes to be surrounded by nature, and she likes that they're close enough to a river.

Yes, she has two Eevees

I was breeding Eevees at one point, so this carried over to her story. The mother of the two babies she's carrying is from her older cousin Ru's (yep, my other Pokemon OC) attempt at breeding. It took me this long to properly sketch/lineart/color something like this because I was doing exercises on differentiating Pokemon designs. Not quite where I'd like to be, but it's definitely a start.

Anyway, here's a brief rundown of her team, excluding Aoi 'cause I sorta mentioned him earlier already.

Hiroto (Braixen; male) - Kaname received from a neighbor (indirectly from Professor Sycamore). As a Fennekin, he was quite rambunctious, and a little stubborn, sometimes getting himself into trouble. He is proud of his psychic attacks, and has unusually good defense thanks to his training with Kaname. He's made it no secret that he enjoys citrus Poke puffs. Since becoming a Braixen, he is no longer as interested in rough-housing, keeping calm and unruffled and helping to keep the 'baby' Pokemon on the team safe.

Kaita - (Fletchling; male) - Kaname met the Fletchling soon after she set out on her journey, and was protective of the little bird Pokemon. His defense is rather poor, so they're training to improve his speed, so he can dodge easily. He's very eager to learn, and is usually the first to wake up.

Hikaru (Litleo; female) - A curious lion cub who joined Kaname's team after she challenged the Santalune Gym, she likes being carried by her trainer as much as she enjoys exploring. Somewhat stubborn as well, Hikaru rarely backs down from a fight, even when she's on the verge of fainting.

Haruki (Eevee; male) - Hatched from one of two eggs Kaname received at the daycare. He and his twin, Haruka, often hold races with each other, with the winner clamoring to ride on Kaname's head, or to be carried. He has dark amber eyes like his mother. He's very competitive, but seems to have learned quickly when retreat is a necessary tactic. He's very playful, though, and even though Kaname and her team have passed by a certain path before, he still insists on exploring.

Haruka (Eevee; female) - Hatched soon after Haruki. She's usually the winner of the races the pair hold, but sometimes insists her brother be carried, as she doesn't mind staying in her Pokeball or walking. As curious as her brother, she explores with him when they can. Even though both were hatched nearer inland, she likes traveling the coastal regions and particularly likes the ocean air.
